This article was originally published as part of the Pobox blog. Pobox was acquired by Fastmail in 2015.

When we first introduced Pobox’s newest Webmail several months ago, our customers asked us for two features that were important to them, an HTML composer and a preview pane for their messages. We’ve listened to your feedback, and we’re happy to say that after beta testing, Webmail has been updated!

Both the ability to compose HTML messages and the ability to view messages in a Preview Pane are now available. You can enable either of these features by going to your Personal Settings, where they are listed under Preferences. Just put a check mark in the box next to either “Compose HTML messages” and/or “Show Preview Pane” and then use the “Save” button! When you go back to your Inbox, your new settings will be active for your account.

As a note to new users of Webmail, our latest Webmail system works more like a desktop email application than a normal webmail system. To open and read a message, you should double click the email. Single clicking on a message does not open the message, but, instead, selects it to allow you to manipulate a message. You can drag and drop a message or group of messages into the correct folder or into the trash.

We hope you enjoy using our updated Webmail and that you will give us any feedback you might have regarding these newest updates! Contact Customer Support if you have any questions or feedback.
